This new North American division had aggressive growth targets and required the recruitment of over 30 highly competent Process Controls Engineers. These positions were for contracts at multiple facilities, often in remote and challenging locations, posing a significant talent acquisition challenge. Airswift deployed a team of specialist consultants to conduct comprehensive talent mapping across the U.S. and Canadian Pulp & Paper sectors. This mapping effort gathered detailed information on candidates' experience, locations, salary benchmarks, and employer perception. From this, Airswift approached and qualified over 300 candidates, enabling the successful completion of the initial recruitment project. This engagement evolved into an ongoing partnership to support the client's continued expansion. The client successfully identified and recruited over 30 Process Controls Engineers within 12 months to meet their North American expansion goals. Additionally, an online tool was developed, offering 24-hour access to a mapped talent pool of over 300 qualified professionals. This provided the client with a strategic resource for future growth and talent needs.

Stegra
Stegra aimed to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually by 2030, but faced significant scaling challenges. Their new facility in northern Sweden was geographically remote, complicating logistics and talent acquisition. Additionally, Sweden's talent shortage limited access to the skilled workforce required for their ambitious project. To support this growth, Stegra needed a strategic partner to build an international workforce quickly, while navigating complex immigration, compliance, and remote operations. A global talent strategy was implemented to overcome local skill shortages and meet critical deadlines, sourcing a diverse mix of professionals for contract and permanent roles. Actionable talent insights and market intelligence were provided, covering talent availability, competitive salary benchmarks, compensation trends, and industry-specific guidance to enable smarter hiring and strategic workforce planning. Mobilization and in-country compliance processes were streamlined to accelerate workforce deployment, managing visas, tax regulation, and complex Swedish labor laws. Stegra gained full visibility into talent trends through real-time market intelligence, enabling competitive, data-driven hiring decisions and attracting top-tier candidates while controlling costs. This allowed them to fill high-demand roles quickly, keeping their ambitious construction schedule on track. The partnership expanded, providing specialist support for key individuals, securing and retaining mission-critical talent. As a result, 67 team members were deployed, including 35 in Sweden and 32 working remotely across 15 countries, enabling Stegra to efficiently scale its dynamic infrastructure project.

The client faced challenges installing three floating wind turbines in a weather-sensitive area off the Portuguese coast. This environment prevented early anticipation for workforce mobilization, requiring them to find and deploy a team of contractors with only two to three days' notice to the project site. Airswift provided flexible support to the project, successfully supplying and mobilizing necessary resources within these extremely tight timeframes. Their services included comprehensive recruitment, managing logistics and travel arrangements for personnel, and providing essential payroll services. As a result, Airswift became the primary workforce provider for the client on this project. They successfully supplied all required contractors, including riggers, deck foremen, and shift supervisors, all possessing the necessary renewable wind certificates, throughout each phase of the project.

Wheatstone LNG Project
The Wheatstone LNG project faced significant challenges in mass staffing its remote location due to intense competition for skilled workers within the LNG industry. A global shortage of qualified engineers further complicated recruitment efforts. The project also needed to recruit and retain key personnel with specific LNG experience across various disciplines, including Construction, Engineering, Design, HSE, Project Controls, and Contract Management. Airswift implemented a comprehensive solution by providing contingent labor and full Global Mobility services. These services encompassed immigration and visa support, assignment on-boarding and off-boarding, training, and payroll assistance for contractors relocating internationally. On-the-ground support was also extended through teams in Perth and Brisbane, Australia, supplemented by offices in Singapore, South Korea, and the United States. The implemented solution successfully addressed the project's complex staffing demands, with 140 contractors provided by Airswift over eight years. Key local and expatriate workers were efficiently recruited and retained, ensuring all necessary resources were available. This delivered top-tier service and facilitated seamless transitions for personnel across multiple countries.

The client required a trusted partner for recruitment, mobilization, and compliant in-country support for both expatriate and Iraqi nationals. This was for the complex rehabilitation and redevelopment of the West Qurna I oil field in southern Iraq. A key requirement included a presence in the United Arab Emirates to support personnel during rotation and potential evacuation periods. Airswift was awarded the employment services contract due to its demonstrated recruitment expertise in both local and international Iraqi markets. The team effectively managed fluctuating project manning schedules, providing a dedicated client services team based in Iraq and Dubai, UAE. Comprehensive relocation services were also provided, encompassing tax remittance, local contracts, permits, immigration, medical support, travel, and 24/7 emergency assistance. The client awarded a Sole Supplier contract for Iraqi nationals on West Qurna I. Airswift recruited and supported over 400 expatriate and Iraqi national personnel for the project since 2011. Personnel were supplied and supported throughout the entire project lifecycle, from exploration and appraisal to operations and maintenance.
